try 13 str for the extra armor.. use warriors endurance and a zealous axe- swing away with whatever energy skill you want and you can even use a stance with it nowdays =]
basically a warrior is a damage dealer with very high armor without any help.. 13 in str and you can just do all damage build |

Rage of the Ntouka is alright. Better stuff exists, but if that's the elite you have atm its fine. The nice thing about it is you can use it in between fights. That way, you can build up your adrenaline before a fight and attack with your big adrenaline skills right away.
I wouldn't worry too much about the posts you've been getting. You don't need "the best" build to succeed in PvE. Just something moderately good will allow you to beat most of the game. You've already learned a lot from your first post, which is nice. Give it time and you'll be able to figure out for yourself what works and what doesn't. A lot of players just bang there head against the wall and complain about how this game is terrible/too hard rather then listen to advice and get better. |

I see the battlecruiser is reporting. :P
Yeah. I was incredibly frustrated, but now I'm beginning to enjoy the warrior thanks to what I've seen here. And it's a plus for my girl, she doesn't have to hear my !@#$ing anymore =D |

I would just like to say one thing about [skill]lions comfort[/skill] which is often forgotten. It resets the adrenaline clock, which can be very usefull when moving between mobs in pve.

warriors are awesome, most of my points have been mentioned in this thread already but just to reiterate. basically it looks like you're thinking about making a perfect build...
my axe build consists of cyclone (aoe), eviscerate (deep wound), exec (bonus damage), whirlwind attack (aoe), flail (33% AS), for great justice (double adrenaline), antidote signet (remove blind and weakness), wild blow (almost every ranger mob in the entire game uses a block stance, this 8th slot is a utility slot and can be changed for res or cap signet, possibly cancel stance if you went with frenzy) - always take a skill with +33% attack speed, flail or frenzy (i prefer flail, as lvl 28 bosses like to introduce you to their double damage searing flames etc) - consider using a zealous weapon, the increased energy regen should enable you to spam your energy skills. hold onto your elemental weapon to use against enemies with high physical armour. - always take a deep wound, it removes 20% of the mobs hp. - take condition removal to quickly remove blind and/or weakness, antidote signet or purge conditions. don't take mend ailment, you want to quickly remove blind, not stand there flushing your energy down the toilet. note in some situations you can't beat blindness (blinding flash mobs). - don't take skills which conflict with your strategy. |

I'll just say that having played all ten classes, most of them extensively (still haven't fully grokked Ritualist or Necromancer and am a bit on the amateur side with my Dervish), my warrior is still - by a wide margin - my favorite character to play. It's not even a contest.
Any character class is about knowing how to put together (or at least spot a good build for you style) and knowing how to use it, full stop. In PVE there is no best class. Some are marginally better than others, but even my not even close to optimal smite monk has finished all the games in normal mode without breaking much of a sweat. If you're posting the original post, you need to spend more time learning what *you* are doing instead of blaming the character class. |

[big single target dmg;OQASEZKTaF+FAGTNLOxgGWCA] [big damage;OQokEhUcloqEfRaR5WqYfxOoh1WB] [more big dmg;OQATEVKXRKtQlJVsvIvYHcrorAA] I put this on heroes, it might suit you better: [this;OQgjEpUcoR8V+FAGTNGGSi9FJXA] Or replace [[distracting strike] with [[save yourselves]. Or if you're cool like me and run discordway heroes... [this;OQcUERKXFvS+FAGLQ2kxkGGxgCAA] First two skills are pretty much useless on that bar, probably even [[savage slash]. Didn't ever get around to figuring out what was optimal. Whatever you run, I suggest getting [[splinter weapon] on your heroes, so you can feel more beast. If you still feel weak, grab a conjure, and have someone put a [[strength of honor] on you. [example;OQYTgyYSZRr8LAbqZq+6n6GA] I don't suggest ever trying these in PvE, GvG stuff: [primal rage;OQYSEZJP/soCUZvyU+JnDBA] [build prof=W/Rt str=12+1+1 ham=12+1 res=3][Flail][Magehunter's Smash][Crushing Blow][Hammer Bash][Distracting Strike][enraging charge][Bull's Strike][Death Pact Signet][/build] [shock axe;OQYTgmIL5RrIV2rQFmyP5cIAAA] [enraged smash;OQcTE5J/HivapAsI8RScCC3RAAA] I use this crap in RA: [dev;OQASE5JP81xCYRqdW+rGWBA] [spear;OQkiExlMBkZGqgJkxX9XZYJAAA] [dagger;OQcSE5OPF2/X/Lhpw4f2FBA] [pretend to be a derv;OQoiExp8UYluCFjCT5nYXEAA] |

Empress Amarox, as nice as it is to trash someone and suggest a bunch of bad PvE bars, and standard PvP bars, have a read of the thread first.
The OP is somewhat limited with Chapters, so suggesting terribad bars that all have at least one skill that the OP can't use is stupid. Secondly, you only suggested one bar that is actually any good for PvE. You can't just say "that's completely horrible" then suggest a bar like the "big damage" bar, which incidentally does shit damage. Maybe go back to the drawing board. Raging Apes, please ignore this person, they're not being helpful.

The "big damage" bar looks like an UW smite farming bar, and the "more big damage" appears to be a raptor cave farm build. Suggesting farming builds for general use doesn't help.

The bars that do "shit damage" incidentally kill mobs with like what, 2 hits? Yeah, they're farming builds. So what? Did I miss the point that the OP thought wars did shit damage and wanted a derv because their fiancee could just walk up and kill mobs with a blink? Because, that's what I read, and that's why I responded how I did. Be less of a troll tbh. |

From what I understood, you have Prophecies and Nightfall only, right? If so, here's a build for you:
[build=OQkSE5JThF7giFgF8VGWmYXF] Carry also a Zealous Hammer just in case energy turn into a problem. Last edited by Brazilian; Jan 28, 2009 at 06:29 PM // 18:29.. |

Thanks for all the advice everyone
I have since Ascended (Killed my double in about 2 seconds on the first try, shocked the hell out of me), and I've switched from Wammo to W/D. It's fun as hell, being a scythe warrior with Warrior's Endurance. I can wack things down really damn fast. I like the DPS, but I'm not going to make the build I've made a lynchpin. And Amarox, thanks for the plethora of suggestions, but a lot of them use Factions skills which I can't access. |

If you want to use Axe then I suggest something like this
[Eviscerate][Executioners Strike][Disrupting Chop][Flail][Enraging Charge][Lion's Comfort] Don't listen to the haters, [Eviscerate] is still easily the best axe elite for both pvp and pvp ([Triple Chop] is overrated as hell) For sword, I used something like [Crippling Slash][Gash][Galrath Slash][Flail][Enraging Charge][Lion's Comfort] and some utility in the remaining slots For hammer..... you have so much variety. Nearly hammer elite is usuable |

See the point? Also, remember that building adrenaline isn't really linear. If you use Cleave, a 4a skill, it doesn't drain 4a from your available adrenaline. It drains 1 strike of Adrenaline to activate the skill, and upon a successful hit, you regain that 1a. Since you used Cleave, you have to build 4 MORE adrenaline to use it again, but all of your other skills that were charged when you used Cleave should be fully charged and ready to use! So it only takes 5a to use Cleave/Dismember, and Evis would still be 3a away from charging for the first use. Last edited by _Nihilist_; Jan 29, 2009 at 05:00 AM // 05:00.. |
